World Naked Bike Ride 2007
Having found or had excuses for three of the last years of the "World Naked Bike Ride" - a gentle naked protest about increasing car use and our world dependency on oil - I decided that this year I wanted to take part. Fortunately S agreed and so we headed off to Hyde Park to strip bare (apart from a couple of carefully placed modesty protectors and some body paint). And yes we're in the photo above.
It was fabulous to cycle freely down Oxford Street - all the traffic was stopped for us and the crowds lining the streets were incredulous (and probably jealous).
Take a look at the large photo and see if you can spot us! (hint: to the right of the rickshaw...).
There were apparently around 700 London riders (though it felt like more) and It got some coverage at the BBC and other various news stories.
More photos to prove we did it to follow...
This really was "free cycling" - it was a day for it
