Where's he gone?

Contrary to popular opinion I haven't been abducted by aliens or even got lost on my way home preventing me from blogging, I've just been *very* busy. What I've been busy with is difficult to say but it certainly fills my time. Simon reckons blogging is a mating signal, so in that case S should be glad I've been away from the journal for a while...

Recently whats been keeping me busy has been seeing relatives in High Wycombe, a weekend mountain biking in Wales, working at least ten hours a day non-stop, climbing at the Westway Centre, weekends in Sheen, weekends in Shepherd's Bush, walks in Richmond deer park, nights out in cocktail bars, stag do's in Nottingham and London and generally too much hedonism.

September is the season for weddings for me - three weddings in four weeks - but all good. I feel like I've neglected to catch up with lots of people, so if you read this and think the same, call me and some beers can be arranged.

S and I have finally got around to filling the two week space we had both booked in our calendars in October. Those two weeks have morphed from a rainforest exploration in Equador to a beach, backpacking and spa extravaganza in Mexico. We're starting from Texas, which is conveniently close (although everywhere in Mexico is a two hour flight from everywhere else), and spending 5 nights in Baja California (on the West coast), two nights in Mexico City (probably enough) and then the remaining 5 nights on the Yucatan Pennisular (or Cancun as it's more likely known). Actually we're going to try to steer clear of the mainstream destinations, hire a car and get out into the unknown. The food, variety and activities in Mexico are the highlights and now we're both very much looking forward to it. Diving, horseback riding and cycling are top of the activity list. We're out of season for Whale watching but we hope to see some dolphins, turtles and flamingoes if we can.

And as if one holiday weren't enough we also have plans for a ski holiday in January next year. Plenty to look forward to now.

Ahhh! There you are!

Good to hear you've filled your days well :O) We still have to catch up. Dont forget open invite here in Malvern to come and see R and I. My weekends seem a lot less hectic than yours so you shout when you're free!

Have a good break if we dont see you.
